They seem to have always hated other religions… …and their own religion. I was watching the Louis Theroux documentary on Westboro Baptist Church today and in one of the clips they were holding signs saying ‘God hates Jews’ outside what they called a ‘Jew Church’. Their reasoning was that they say Jews killed Jesus (Romans get off scot free again!). So I don’t think this is some sort of big shift. They also picketed outside a Swedish vacuum cleaner shop. Actually, I’m pretty sure that “Ignoring him and going on about your business,” would do it. ---

Freddie’s spawn protested my church last week. _Sniff_ I feel so _proud!_ Actually, I felt a little bad, only because my pastor is a nice man who goes out of his way to set up a food/clothing/shelter program for the homeless, and he shouldn’t have to read signs calling him a whore, even wielded by crazies. But really, how can anyone do anything but pity the children born into that family? ---

They should suffer a far worse fate The fact that simply shooting them all would achieve this objective just as well makes one suspect that there’s more at work here than just self-defense. Of course, I proposed boiling him in his own juices via lightning bolt, so I can’t really criticize. But seriously speaking, it hurts your credibility to claim that you’re arguing for prolonged torture by dismemberment and anal rape from a _moral_ basis. (In my opinion a burning hatred and desire for revenge is the only rationale that seems plausible as a basis for this position, though the “it’s the internet - nobody ever says what they mean” defense might work too.) ---

As I read this I was wondering why WBC hadn’t already been sued into oblivion??? This shit has been going on for how many years?? I’m a former-fundie borderline nut, but even at my extreme worst I would have been happy to exact a Christian-style Jihad and exterminate the absolute evil spewed by these animals in my saviour’s name. ---

If he’s really such an evil person, maybe we could try arresting him and putting him in a psychiatric hospital where although he won’t be cured, at least he won’t bother the rest of us. Liberal, it’s one guy. And he says what he says because he’s nuts. He’s a sadist who enjoys inflicting pain. And he has kept his children and grandchildren under his thumb for years, all for the purpose of feeding his own ego and making himself into a biblical Patriarch. People get all upset about this guy and his kids, but for the life of me I can’t understand why. You don’t get upset that the guy on the streetcorner is ranting and raving about Jesus, why should you get upset when this guy does? ---

How come there’s no “God Hates Hell’s Angels” or “God Hates Crips”? Seems curious they never protest anyone who might actually take them apart. ---
