Aww congratulations on the (very) early arrival. I hope she and mum are doing well and you have managed to grab some sleep. Isla is a beautiful name. Don’t take this the wrong way, but my lovely 14 year old collie is called Isla, and I wished I’d kept the name for any daughter I had. You know what, maybe I’ll still use it. It’s a lovely name. Hope you can take your lovely Isla home soon. She’s a keeper, alright 🙂 ---

Or rather, you hardly see it fall out, because it’s so fine and downy (and nurses are good about keeping the bed clean), but one day soon you’ll just look at her and be all, “wait? Where are her hairy shoulders?” WhyBaby was so early we watched the lanugo come _in_. That was weird! ---

I forgot to say, my wife has come home tonight, she’s soaking in the bath right now. It was hard leaving Isla behind but she’s being well looked after. Mrs C is hopefully going to get squeezing out some milk for us to take in tomorrow. And since you asked, here’s another [pic](http://i54.tinypic.com/2hs7ui1.jpg). That sleepy one-eye-half-open look is pretty much me most mornings, pre coffee. 🙂 ---

Isla was my grandmother’s name so I’m a bit partial to it. Your little cutie looks a bit skeptical about the whole thing. In about fifteen years you’ll be seeing that look again, coupled with, “Daaaad!” ---
