What 3 historical events would you like to see on film?

Oh, there almost certainly was an Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of Noah is *highly *doubtful.

Well, we could always try for the ark of Moses.

Things I’d like to record:

Whether there were any pre-Columbus Chinese voyages to the west coast of North America.

Louis Riel: what really happened. And the discussions in the Halls of Power that led up to the North-West Rebellion.

The conference that led to the Great Peace of Montréal.

The Beothuk language and culture, before they were wiped out.

The Vikings in North America: L’Anse aux Meadows and other explorations and settlements.

I think it would be interesting if he died the way people say he did. It would tell us a lot if he cried out for god and the whole deal, or if that was just made up for the story

Just thought of 3 more that’s be worth a look at:

The Battle of Marston Moor

Trial and execution of King Charles I

Cleopatra and Antony having a fuck*

  • I could sell this or post it on youtube

At a much more mundane level, I would love to see documentaries which revealed

who Jack The Ripper was,

who killed Lizzie Bordan’s father and step-mother,

and what happened to Jim Thompson.

Liszt showing off his piano skills. Or Paganini with the violin. Maybe a duet?

An Ancient Greek War.

Lucy making footsteps. I’d see how human she was.

  1. Crucifixion of Christ.

That’s it.

It’s got to start with the crucifixion, that’s all there is to it.

Others are too numerous to list. But they’d all surround resolving mysteries and the not-understood.

  1. Any footage of (an adult) Jesus Christ, not necessarily the Crucifixion.
  2. The Battle of Thermopylae.
  3. The Tunguska blast.

…or basically, what everyone else has said. :smack:

  1. The Great [Noahide] Flood – filmed from maybe a low earth orbit, to ascertain how great an area was affected (and when).

  2. The signing of the U.S.'s Declaration of Independence. Yes, I know it wasn’t a single discrete event as depicted in the famous oil painting. But I’d like to see each of the signatories, our Founding Fathers, walk up to that table and examine the document for one last time before signing it, knowing full well how the British authorities would deal with him if they ever caught him. Besides, I’m irritated by the varying depictions of some of these guys in various paintings/drawings/sculptures, etc. and on our currency/specie, and would like to see what they really looked like!

  3. One ancient artistic or militaristic spectacle… a Roman triumphal parade, a performance of a Greek play by… on second thought, to make the most of this hypothetical scenario, lets film one of the ancient Greek plays lost to history. Yep, that ought to do nicely!

What happened to that union bloke from the US who was never found.
