We need a word for people like that - if he was a western Canadian, he would have been one of the idiots who gets killed (or has an extremely lucky miss) snowmobiling in avalanche country every winter. “Stupid” just doesn’t seem to cut it.

In Wisconsin, we know spring has arrived by the snowmobilers and ice fishermen breaking through the lake ice and drowning. And we know mid-summer is here by the lines of smoking wreckage radiating out from Oshkosh – the crashes of small planes headed to and from the Oshkosh air show. (I believe Oshkosh is the deadliest aircraft destination in the world.)
