# What a Difference a Day Makes/Made?

The title says it all. I am enjoying the DVD of _Jamie Cullum Live at Blenheim Castle_ and he performs the song with **made** in the title and the first line. I recall the song from my youth with **makes** in both places. I can find multiple references to both versions all over the net.

Anyone know definitely which is the correct lyric?

From the liner notes of Dinah Washington’s album _What a Diff’rence a Day Makes_:

“Edward B. Marks Music, publishers of this standard hit, published the song originally as _What a Difference a Day Made_. But in the intervening years while the song slumbered, singers changed the lyric from ‘made’ to ‘makes’.”

Don’t know if that’s definite enough for you.
