I renewed my passport* online. The hardest part were the photos, done efficiently by the local Post Office, sent back to me by email. Done. Three days later the new passport came in the post.
Every country should have that ability.

Rebuilt differential: $2200.
Another oil change because I didn’t realize the old oil filter seal was still on. $100
New radiator: $130 and givin up my Saturday to put it in.
Still need 2 new tires and front brakes including rotors. Lets $500
Still a better adventure than the OPs because I don’t have to go to Canada.
