That joke image circulates in avaition circles.
I emailed an aviation museum about it, after it appeared in another Thread, years ago, & they were pretty huffy about it. I’d say they’ve seen the image more than once.

Criminy, Bud! Didncha click on the link! (And, as a coinky-dink, the post immediately following your last one).OK, here’s the fuller explanation: In the provided link, it was well documented that that painting was an amalgam–but still after that, Bosda said he was going to email Voight [sic] to see what they had to say. So. . . it was a reference to the earlier thread. An attempt at humor. As is often the case, not a very successful one. Oh, well . . . .
