For me, it was that they’ve recently been on tour so some live stuff popped up on youtube.
I was recently in Wisconsin and, randomly, a bar I was in was playing The Pixies’ album Doolittle (all of it I think…we didn’t stay long enough to know).
Hadn’t heard it in ages. Forgot how much I liked them. Frankly, I had forgotten about them completely.
When I was in college, 35+ years ago, I had a cassette of “This Is the Moody Blues,” their greatest-hits compilation. I listened to it a lot at the time, but got out of the habit of listening to cassettes when I got CDs in the late '80s, and hadn’t heard the album in decades.
A few months ago, I thought of it, and bought the album on iTunes. I’ve since listened to it several times, all the way through, and have really enjoyed it, in no small part because it brings me back to that time in my life.
