I’m still putting my money on the Elephant Seal. The bulls engage in dominance battles, they can charge over land with remarkable speed. They are incredibly strong and even though not as mobile as a bear they could toss off an 800 pound grizzly without trouble. If they hit one head on or get on top it the Grizzly is dead. I seriously doubt a Grizzly would attack something that large if he saw it move. Thinking it perhaps an oversized Walrus a Grizzly might attack but when the bull seal moves forward instead of backing off the bear will change his mind.

I can’t possibly prove this right now, but if someone can take care of the paperwork I will contribute what I can to staging the fight and resolving this issue.

Wolverines _think_ they can take on bears and run them off their kills. But that doesn’t always work out well for them.

>
> Scientists Kristine and Bob Inman, while tracking the wolverine as part of a WCS study of these rare carnivores, discovered that the animal’s radio collar began emitting a “mortality signal,” indicating it hadn’t moved in several hours. They later found the wolverine’s carcass, showing clear evidence that it had been killed by a bear. Nearby, they discovered the carcass of an elk, along with additional evidence that the wolverine had attempted to drag it away from the bear, thus instigating the fatal encounter.

I’ve not been able to find a Wolverine vs Grizzly Bear video, but here’s one [Wolverine vs. Godzilla](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKcZf_V4QYI). At the end you’ll see what Godzilla finally had to do, so there’s a question if a grizzly could do the same.

True, but deep down inside, they’re still just pussycats … and like all pussycats, they’re not especially smart.

I can state with 100% confidence that a charging male elephant seal will cause more than 800lbs (combined weight) of 5th graders, park rangers and parental chaperones to run like hell 😃 It’s like being chased by an angry, blubber-coated van with the horn blaring.

I don’t want to be around trying to video that fight while it is going on.

A full grown male?

And there is always the exception.

Also I never claimed that as a

So please note in your post that it was not aimed as a ‘gotcha’ about what I did say because as can be seen in your quote, I said no such thing.

Why bring this up at all?

It sounds like you are doing this.
Those that skim or do not read the whole thread just remember, “somebody else slapped down gusnspot…”

Fluttershy could take out God. Let’s keep this below the cosmic level and concentrate on the bears.
