For what purpose are we defining “rich”? Are we talking about belonging to the upper classes?

Do we mean people in the top 1% income bracket?

Are wea talking about internationally, regionally or locally?
And is there a difference between being rich in assets and rich in revenue? For example, you could have a house that’s worth $1,000,000 but with no income you can’t even buy a pizza. On the other hand it is very common to see New Yorkers earning several hundred thousand a year and yet have no actual assets as they can only afford rental properties in the city.
