AVG 8 gets on my nerves, and yes, as others mentioned, dont bother with the daily scan. AVG will scan any file read from or written to your hard drive anyway. I switched to the free version of Avira and am happy with it, with the exception of a daily pop-up window asking you to buy the full version. There’s a way to turn it off, but I haven’t bothered, it’s free so I can view their ad. ---

I gave up on all of them because they bog things down. I have a firewall and the browser now warns about suspicious sites. Also, since I have on online Yahoo email with spam filters, I think I’m safe enough. ---

Stick with AVG. It beats the hell out of McAfee. ---
