What are 13 year old girls listening to?

It’s Panic at the Disco. AFI stands for A Fire Inside.

Gift certificate is still the safest.

Heh. I’ve got Michaela’s wish list open in another window right now, and it has both High School Musical and Hannah Montana in pride of place.

She also asks for That’s So Raven soundtrack, and anything with The Cheetah Girls, as wall as Christian Aguilera and Celine Dion.

Se’s ten, BTW, so you might wish to consult with her folks (regarding not only what she might like, but what she already has). A gift card would probably be a good idea, at that.

Oh, and mobo85, we don’t call them telefilms, FWIW. Those are properly known as DCOMs (Disney Channel Original Movies).

I like both bands. AFI is rather hard. She most likely would want the album, December Underground, that has the song Miss Murder on it. I’d still go with a gift certificate, though. At that age, I *loved *gift certificates.

The Disney inventory named above is my 10 yo’s current wish list for new stuff. She also goes for Mellencamp, Gwen Stefani, and classical. Her youtube repeats are OK GO and Weird Al Y.

You’ve gotta ask–tastes are all over the map.

Ah, yes, I knew that, actually. Not surprising that I missed that one, seeing as I am only a amateur Disneyologist. Now if you’ll excuse me, I must get back to my senior thesis, which I think has something to do with telling the Sprouse brothers apart- my worst subject.

You’re up to Cole and Dylan? I’m still trying to figure out which one is Tia and which one is Tamara.

Gwen Stefani, in her currently severely irritating tween/anime/club mode.

Yeah, she’s been really weird lately.(her new single has yodeling :dubious: …) Anyway, i’m not 13 anymore, but it was not that long ago. I think bands like panic! at the disco and ok go are good choices, and it seems like Beyonce is really big in the teen world right now.
But if you wanna play it safe, then i’m gonna say go with a gift card.

Well, I went with Panic! and I figure going to exchange it would be as much fun as a gift card, should her taste change between now and Christmas. plus she has a real present to open. She still likes to partake in the unwrapping of the stuff.
