Okay - I have checked with some of my Redwood City friends and no one has a clue - the ever-charming “idiots” was offered (and is most accurate, present company included), but doesn’t really apply. Any ideas? What does anyone from a town with the “X City” format use? New York City types of course use New Yorkers, but what about if you are from Oklahoma City - just be happy with Sooners? What about Panama City? Kansas City? ---

If you have lived in the county for about 5 seasons, you can consider yourself a ‘Local’. Many long time locals will frown on that though. Pretty much everyone is from somewhere else. And they rarely stay/last long. ---

middlesbrough = smoggie not quite as bad as the “monkey hangers” up the road in hartlepool, further up the road am split between calling geezers from newcastle geordies or referring to them by one of their football teams nefarious nicks of “barcodes” or “skunks” referring to their black and white team strip ---

Tokyoites, but in Japanese the people who grew up in the “old” part of Tokyo are called Edokko, “Children of Edo” (from the former name of the city. I’m from Utah, and we calls ourselves “Utahns” while some of the Nation mistakenly insists on Utahites. ---
