# What are some common activities that you have never engaged in? No pizza or jeans would be remarkable for a US adult. US does tend to be the default. Obviously if it’s worldwide the parameters would change. That was suggested I guess with the person saying they’d ‘never spoken Mandarin’. Not _too_ unusual in the US… Although even worldwide 1/5 or something of the world population is educated in the language (the dialect isn’t necessarily the ‘native tongue’ of even of people in China), not 4/5’s. So what’s ‘common’ enough for it to be at all remarkable you haven’t done it? Likewise if somebody in the US wasn’t from or connected to NY, and well into adulthood, never having driven would be remarkable. From NY, or similar world cities London, Tokyo, etc. not as much. ‘I’m from Texas, 35 yrs old, able bodied, and have never owned or driven a car’. _That_ would be remarkable. And a lot of people with lifelong physical problems can’t do a lot of the physical things that have been listed. Skimming over most of the thread I have nothing to add if avoiding a) repetition and b) stuff that isn’t common in the sense a majority (even in the US) has done it (getting arrested, tattoo’s, group sex, etc). ---

Never drunk any hot drink. I had a sip of hot chocolate, but warm liquids just ain’t right. No tea, coffee, horlicks, lempsip, not even bovril. Never taken a tablet. Ecstacy, aspirin, ibuprofen, anything. Never seen an animated disney movie. Driven or owned a car. Motorbike, yes. Car no. Never ate pizza, or muffins. Never had a chequebook. Never taken part in any sort of organised sporting competition. When I was very young i entered some sort of competition that wasn’t sporting and won some Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle merch. Never had any part of my body removed. Foreskin, wisdom teeth, tonsils, appendix, all still in their rightful places. Never shaved. My face or anything else. Never tweeted, Facebooked, Instragrammed, &c… Reddit, I’ve used that. I’m never used a smartphone. I’ve never legally consumed alcohol (I did consume some when too young to do so legally, many years ago), or entered a licenced establishment, or an establishment where live music is played, I have seen buskers, but otherwise no-one who has played an instrument. I have never eaten not only pizza, but sushi, salad, curry, anything Chinese, lasagne, pasta, rice… Never voted for a candidate who won, as far as I know. Also, my last two MPs were drummed out in disgrace after being shown to be corrupt, and the present one got his party a fine for election fraud, so I think I was in the right there. Never willingly allowed anyone into my home. It’s my place, you’re not welcome. ---

I never shot a man in Reno just to watch him die. Other than that … wow, I never quite realized how much I had done in my life. No water skiing, pet birds, being a bridesmaid, bungee jumping or voting republican for me. I’m pretty sure I have done everything else listed. Somebody has to do all the drugs that no one in this thread is admitting to using. And just to be clear … sex on an elevator is wrong on many different levels. ---

I’ve got some repeats as others, but here’s a few I didn’t see listed: Never donated blood. Tried a few times, but got bad phlebotomists I guess, and they couldn’t get anything. Now I’m on a lot of medications, so I doubt I’m eligible. Never lit a grill or campfire. I’ve cooked on both, but I’d just rather somebody else do the scary part. 😃 Never lived completely on my own. I’ve always had a roommate or a romantic partner. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like. Pretty sure I’ve never stayed alone in a hotel either. Never bought a lottery ticket. ---

Hmmph. I’m batshit-weird enough you’d think I could come up with several. But most of the stuff that I “don’t do” is stuff that I’ve at least done once or twice, dangit. I’ve even played a computer game, danced to disco music, downloaded a tune from the Apple iTunes store, held a smartphone in my hand and used it for something besides making a phone call, gone to see the freaking tree at Rockefeller Center get lit up, … meh. It’s embarrassing, really. ---
