# What are the google ads after you post?

OK, this is starting to get me paranoid and just plain annoyed.

I’ve been checking the google ads before I post and the ads are generally based on the keywords of the OP or keywords of the last poster.

Then I post and check the google ads, and they’re very frequently for criminal background checks. Since I know the ads are based on keywords, how can I possibly be saying something about that subject in so many of my posts regardless of where I’m posting. I’ve now posted in both GQ, the Pit and now here and it’s all the same. Surely my username doesn’t warrant that response.
