I’ve been in a helicopter flying over Treriksröset (the northernmost point of Sweden, where Finland, Norway and Sweden meet), at 69’4" N. If helicopters fall under the airplane restriction I’ve been on foot in Abisko at 68’21" N.

As for the southernmost point, I’ve been to Crete at 35 N.

I first crossed the Equator at the age of 2 – I don’t remember it, but I do know that I was travelling north at the time.

I think I win at northern most (so far):

78.13° N – Longyearbyen (Svalbard)
It’s tough to beat that unless you made a trek to the North Pole.

Southern most:
1.17° N – Singapore

I expect **robby** and **casdave** can probably beat most people for most northward, being submariners; equally, I expect they probably can’t tell us about it.

So it looks like **alanak** is the most extreme for the north bracket. What were you doing up there anyway? What is it like? **Cryptoderk** wins in the south at 51. **Cryptoderk** wins the widest spread, at about 111 deg. too.

I thought we might have some polar explores on board, but I guess the Dope skews intelligent.
