Good lord. It’s been so long I don’t even remember how to start a thread. And what are all these cool buttons? Anyway. I seem to be done with my LA/Chicago/Minnesota/Wisconsin run, so I thought I’d come to NYC for a week to relax. Of course “relaxing” translates into “drink a bunch of beer and dance on a bar in a miniskirt”. At least that’s what I’ve been told. So, here’s what **Manny** put together for Thursday: A restaurant by the name of Le Souk (East Village 47 Ave. B [bet. 3rd & 4th Sts.] New York, NY, 10009-7441 (212) 777-5454) for dinner at 630p. Belly dancers, hookahs and…um…I guess they have food, too. After that we seem to be heading to a very loud, very interesting bar that goes by Red Rocks? Red Rock? Someplace with hot chicks, pool and bar dancing, that’s all I know. If they serve beer, I’m okay with it, y’know? I haven’t been social with the New Yorkers since I caught one of the first flights out here after 9/11. I’d like to see y’all again under better circumstances. I know it’s late notice, but anybody free on Thursday? ---

I have a class Friday morning at 9 AM - it’d probably be in poor form to miss the second class of the semester because I was out late, drinking myself into oblivion in NYC. 🙂 If that weren’t enough of an excuse, there’s that fact that I’d be catching (attempting to) the goddamned “We don’t brake for crippled people” LIRR. So no, 'fraid I’ll be a no-show. Not that you & I’ve ever met, but I regret not having the pleasure. 🙂 ---

Ah, this Thursday should be better than other Thursdays – I picked it on account of the city is dead this week. Also, no belly dancers at Le Souk on Wednesdays. C’mon out, join the fun. \Eve\, take the train right under them NFL dudes, and your way home will be clear by the time it’s time to go. \Uke\, you could use some flavored terbaccy, yes? Hell, I’m having a root canal on Friday morning, and I’ll be there. New haircut and all. ---
