This is just an example of tongue in cheek JAQing off. While I think President Trump may fantasize about ridding himself of a check from the judiciary in the same way he would like to purge military leadership, I doubt he would go as far as this. Sure, President Trump’s good friend Vladimir Putin has shown that throwing a couple of people out of windows every year is a good method for keeping the populace in line, but this is not Russia. The real question is whether the courts do act as a check on the second Trump administration. I have my doubts. “It’s possible, but unlikely”; mostly, because he won’t _need_ to. The SC will just rubberstamp anything he chooses to do. ---

Roberts is a full on Trumper. He just hides it better than Thomas or Alito. A [memo](https://newrepublic.com/post/186002/leaked-supreme-court-memos-john-roberts-samuel-alito-flag-jan-6) was leaked in Sept. regarding how he took over writing the majority opinion in the PotUS immunity ruling and how great an idea he thought this was. He was shocked by the backlash it produced. He is equally baffled by the reaction to other decisions of late. Despite the remarkable lack of reasoning behind them. ---
