Sometimes, in my paranoid little brain, I think that there really is a god, and it loves to fuck with humans in little subtle ways. Woody Harrelson’s father was a convicted murderer of a federal judge. He was also thought to be one of the “tramps” that were detained on Nov.22, 1963 at the sight of the JFK assassination leading to many believing that he was part of the conspiracy. This was later proven to be false. But… Harrelson’s mothers name was Diane Lou Oswald! What are the odds? ---

You mean, what are the odds that someone tangentially related to the response to the Kennedy assassination would have a relative that had the same last name as the assassin? I would guess the odds really aren’t that long, actually. ---

Woody also played a bartender on Cheers, set in Boston where the Kennedy family is from. And in addition to that he was in the Hunger Games with Stanley Tucci who was once on an episode of Monk with Tony Shalhoub who was on the TV show Wings that had cross-over episodes with Cheers and also was about a small airline that flew from Nantucket to Martha’s Vineyard where the Kennedy’s have a compound and JFK Jr. died during a flight to there also. Can you imagine the odds of such coincidences? ---

If you go looking for any random coincidence in something involving as many people as a presidential assassination you’ll find dozens that rise to this level, if not hundreds.
