# What are 'Views'?

Can someone (the Moderator perhaps) please explain to me what a “View” is? As in the Forum screen title headers. I’ve tried to fathom it out from what I see on the screen, but am obviously missing something somewhere.
Nor can I find any reference to ‘Views’ in the FAQs or anywhere else.

OK, I found the answer myself! But the ‘Views’ count doesn’t seem to work under all circumstances. Like when I use my browser’s ‘Back’ button instead of the Forum button at the bottom of the thread page.
Also it seems that replies don’t get posted unless I leave the thread page via the ‘Forum’ button. Or am I mis-understanding something?

When you press the “Back” button, it doesn’t (always) reload the screen. It’ll go back to a previously cached copy of the forum menu. You have to press “Rest/Reload” (depending on what Internet browser you’re using) to see the new replies/views.
