As Jack Batty’s time in the Bay Area grows short, we need to have a gathering where we sing his praises and recount how he has touched our lives, touched our souls, touched our private parts gently while fooling around in a broom closet. We should have guitars there. I’ll stumble through the 12-bar blues that he showed me while he solos endlessly in the key of E. We should have beer there, and Jack can have my share, since I hate beer. I am proposing Sat., Dec. 8 as the day to do it, whatever we choose to do. ---

I have this nagging feeling that I am supposed to do something on the 8th, but until/if I figure out what it is, I’ll absolutely go. I adore Jack. I can’t even imagine a proper BADfest without him. ---

Wow, what a surprise. I’ve been a little absent from the boards for a while. Hell I’ve been a little absent from life for a little while. As always, I’m up for any and all Dopefests. Once I get back east (if I can actually swing it) I plan to carry on the attention whore tradition I so carefully cultivated from myself. And with any luck I can get some sort of unofficial N.A.I.T.B.A.B.A.B.A.D.A. (Not Actually In The Bay Area But A Bay Area Doper Anyway) contingency set up for frequent Drinkfests.
