What, specifically, is the hardware and OS software being used right now to host this board? The sticky note at the top of this forum mentions that any hardware upgrades have been met by increased demands; I’m just wondering where those hardware upgrades left us. - Rick ---

I’ll do a search later tonight when the hamsters are taking a breather after their long day and see if I can’t find a thread where **jdavis** the Tech God specified what-all they’ve got keeping this place running. I think I remember one. ---

Geez, I coulda sworn… I must be having dreams about the SDMB (really _specific_ dreams) that I later incorporate falsely into my memory or something, because I can never find any thread that I vaguely remember. I’ve looked at every one of **jdavis** ’s posts dating back to 2000 and couldn’t find the one I was sure I had seen. According to [this web site](http://youreallythoughtthiswouldbealink?), we could get a 30% improvement in speed if we switched over to running on Mexican jumping beans. 😉 ---
