I had a soccer game that ended late. Made fried chicken for dinner. Ate way too much of it, but it was sooooo good! Answered a bunch of emails. Then watched The Taking of Pelham 123, the one with Denzel. After that, Puppy bowl. Normally I always watch the super bowl, but not this year. Sorry CBS, just couldn’t get behind your decision to take money from Focus on the Family, but deem a gay dating sight objectionable. ---

Well, I watched one quarter, but then I finished up the 3rd season of Friday Night Lights on Netflix. It’s football-related. Totally valid thing to do when you’re by yourself on Super Bowl Sunday. ---

I watched Julie & Julia. DVD from Netflix. When it was over I switched to see if I could see the half-time thingie–wanted to see The Who. The game was already over. Oh well… 😃 ---

I didn’t even know it was on. I went to Starbuck’s for an hour and worked on a project, then to the grocery markt. Among other reasons, to ask for boxes as we are moving, to another larger unit in the same complex. I killed a few more minutes by walking around the parking areas to ascertain where we will be parking after the move. I’m just not into football that much, but it does sound like it was a good game and I’m glad the Saints won. ---

We took a truckload of trash to the dump. I helped a friend unload a desk and fix her temperamental backwoods water system (electric pump down at the creek, holding tanks up by her house and garden, breaker box in the kitchen). We did a little grocery shopping and almost had to have our dinner of chicken enchiladas sans sour cream because the Safeway in our neighborhood apparently underestimated the local Super Bowl appetite for french onion dip. Thankfully one of the stock clerks found a tub of organic sour cream in the back. ---

Ugh, the Saints won? Great. Now I’ll get to hear all about it all week. Tonight (ie, right now) I’m working for a guy who’s family’s from New Orleans and he’s still there now. I’ll get to hear his trash talk to the other sports buffs all freakin week when he get’s back. Anyways, I was sleeping while the game was on. I’ll probably browse Hulu tomorrow to see what the neat commercials are all about. ---

I was at a restaurant. My parents’ reasoning was thus: everyone and his dog are on their couches watching the Superbowl (except for the ones who are actually at the stadium). So the restaurants would probably be empty. Family dinner night! ---
