Right now I’m having my usual evening drink of Old Crow and Diet Coke. Don’t laugh at me for drinking Old Crow - I’m mixing it with Coke, so it wouldn’t be right to spoil Jack or some expensive bourbon by diluting it with Coke. I settled on Old Crow, so it’s the usual. Any other time of day my drink would be water, but evenings it’s Old Crow and Diet Coke. Unless I’m at a bar - they don’t stock Old Crow. ---

Just back from a debate tournament where my novices (well, 1 novice) kicked butt, so a glass of Evan Williams Single-Barrel is raised in salute to B, who done good. And to my Varsity, who did OK. 😃 ---

Water from a glass. I usually drink it from my 40oz Kleen Kanteen but I threw it away recently. I took it fishing one day, put it in a bucket with my friend’s bag of sardines. My friend left the sardines and his bucket in my truck so the fish baked in the sun for 2 days. I threw the whole bucket away without thinking about the rest of the bucket’s contents. ---

Have you tried the San Pelligrino sodas made with orange juice and another made with lemon juice (aranciata and limonata). Nothing special really, just not as effervescent or sweet as most non-diet American sodas. I normally drink diet stuff, but I make an exception for these. They also add what I consider a nice touch. The cans all have a foil cap to keep them clean so that when you pop the tab and it goes into your soda, you don’t have to worry about what might have been on it. ---
