Narcissistic as it may be, I’m listening to **DfrntBreign** by DfrntBreign. This has to win the obscurity prize, as it is a copy of a demo that no-one but me and a few friends have ever heard. In rotation for the last couple days have been **Live from Austin** - Eric Johnson, **All That I Am** - Santana, **What We Like** - Hillbilly Stu (my nephew’s band.) **Best Of Taste feat. Rory Gallagher** **Rapture of the Deep** - Deep Purple. ---

I have been in such a hip hop mood lately, which if you know me is really strange. Started the week out with some old school **KRS-one** , moved onto **Blacksta** r, then **Madvillany** by Madvillan (MF DOOM and Madlib, it’s amazing) and the last two days have been listening to RjD2’s album **Dead Ringer** , specifically **F.H.H.** over and over and over again. That and the **Pixies live at Newport** acoustic set as well as the **Pogues** live. But RIGHT NOW, I am listening to Portishead’s album \*\* Dummy\*\* and \*\*Numb \*\*is the track that is on. ---

I got to the aforementioned **Brokeback** soundtrack after all. Lovely. Also depressing as all get out, but I keep playing it anyway. And…I can’t believe I’m about to admit this, but I actually don’t mind the c/w songs on it. Normally, I’m not a fan. This could really change things. ---
