I saw Lucinda Williams and Old Crow Medicine Show on Austin City Limits and liked them both, I’ve been listening to them quite a bit. ---

I was born in 1970 when they broke up, so when I was a young child through my teenage years, I was still hearing them on the radio. That’s how I became a fan. Today, I don’t really know where a child or teenager or even 20-something would hear them except if their parents listened to them with the kids around. They are played on oldies stations that play Barry Manilow or The Supremes and I’ll never hear the later stuff, it’s always “She Loves You” or “8 Days a Week”. ---

Whatever Radio Paradise internet radio is playing. It’s on all day, even if we don’t always like the choices. It just segued from Thievery Corporation to REM and now to Wilson Pickett. It’s introduced me to a lot of bands I wouldn’t have heard of, but I wish it would play some of them less often. Still, I got to know Fleet Foxes, The Wailin’ Jennys, Stone Roses and Cat Power. I’m always a little slow to catch on. Foo Fighters didn’t show up in the library until about the third album, Death Cab late last year, and the Flogging Molly discography just arrived post-xmas. ---
