One of the lovely side effects of my transplant meds is hair loss. Didn’t have a ton anyways, due to a severe sunburn many years ago. It’s currently shoulder length, frizzy, snarly. I finally got up the nerve to go get it chopped off. Head over to the cuts-r-us at 330. “Sorry, we’re closing for Halloween” Wtf? Didn’t say that on their website. Kids around here don’t go out until 630-7. How stupid. ---

I’m scared of leftover Halloween candy. ☹ It’s been pouring on and off, mostly on, all day. The town’s administrator sent out one of those automated ‘emergency calls’ to all households that all Trick and Treaters should be done and back inside by SIX P.M. because Triple E has been found in local mosquito traps and we haven’t had a hard frost yet to kill them off. Okay, no one wants children to die for candy, but 6 p.m.? How many parents have been able to get home, feed their kids dinner, get them into costume and walk them around by then? Heck, I bet a lot of those who intended to hand out candy haven’t gotten home from work by then either. ☹ It’s now almost 7:30. We’ve had exactly one group of four children. We bought five bags of candy bars. I foresee bad news happening on my scale the next weeks. ---

What’s EEE? Minor nuisance for me: I realized that I set my microwave for 20 minutes to reheat some leftover puri instead of 2. errr … Luckily, I realized this about 4 minutes in, and the power was set to 3, not 10, so it’s a bit hot but didn’t get tough. ---

And I’m certainly not saying I would do this myself. The polite thing to do is if you want to eat together, you wait until everyone is present before getting in line. I think I was imagining a sit-down restaurant situation where it would be OK for one or two people to get in line to make a reservation for a table of 20. But a good restaurant would seat smaller tables that became available before the table of 20, it seems that wasn’t the case with this style of service. “People who inconvenience others for their own convenience” is a pretty good definition of “assholes”.
