I’m sorry, Dung Beetle, I can’t help but re-post this 1-2 punch from [this thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=854790) last year - one of the funniest posts I have ever seen on the boards. Bear in mind the thread title is “Have you ever sharted?”:
