# What are your co-workers like?

When I was a teacher I saw pretty much the same categories as **Altoid**. But I was a male working in a mostly female elementary school. Most of the ladies were nice enough, but:

- They sure didn’t get things done quickly. Three committee meetings were necessary to authorize moving a desk.

- A great deal of time was spent on nonsense that had nothing to do with teaching. Meetings about what kind of curtains the office window should have, etc.

- Some intellectual laziness, although this certainly wasn’t confined to the lady teachers. Lots of “that sounds too hard” when something requiring extra effort was proposed.

Glad I’m not there anymore.
