So many of mine have been mentioned already, but not this one. Split Enz _[Message to My Girl](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUC_jE78FNE)_ (1984), a very kiwi bloke expression of love … I don’t wanna say ‘I love you’, that would give away too much… (snip) There’s nothing quite as real as the touch of your sweet hand (snip) I’ll sing it to the world, a simple message to my girl. It makes me smile every time I hear it, even after all these years. But, I’m a kiwi chick. ---

Thought of another one … “When I Think of You” - Janet Jackson. You know, when I read the title, I thought HAPPY implied upbeat, effervescent, giddy. A lot of the songs mentioned are _positive_ but angsty or slow (albeit romantic) … I mean, I LOVE “Friday I’m in Love” but I would have never thought to post it here. Just an observation, not a criticism. ---
