Oh shoot, I forgot to vote for _1776_ and _Kiss Me Kate_. Man, Howard Keel was to die for in those days. And he still wasn’t bad courting Miss Elly on Dallas.

I know not too many have voted so far for South Pacific but I love it for the song _You’ve Got to be Carefully Taught_. That song was played at the first organized anti-Phelps/WBC rally I was part of. _“You’ve got to be taught, before it’s to late/Before you’re six or seven or eight/To hate all the people your relatives hate/…”_

Is it possible that not only has **Sweeney Todd** not been included on the list but no one in this thread thus far has even mentioned it? really?

But my personal favorite is actually **Sunday in the Park with George** (also not on the list??) or at least the first half.

Are you sure you realize that the OP is looking for **movie** musicals? I mean, I know _Sweeney_ has been turned into a movie, but _Sunday_ hasn’t, so I’m thinking maybe that’s the case. But _Sweeney_ should definitely be on the list!
