I love Weird Al and could list a dozen of his songs off the top of my head that are funny and brilliant. But are there songs by other artists that you like? The only parody artist I know of that comes close is Bob Rivers. I think he does an even better job than Weird Al of making his songs sound like the original, although they’re generally not as clever and funny as Al’s. If I had to pick one of Rivers’ songs, I’d say Middle Age Waistline. Rivers tends to be raunchier but can definitely be just as hilarious as Weird Al: [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/Sd7MOYYoaoA/hqdefault.jpg "Bob Rivers - Cats in the kettle") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd7MOYYoaoA) ---

Love the Rutles, but Todd Rundgren’s band did a wonderful Beatles album. With a song parodying each of their periods. I just love the early-era “I Just Want To Touch You” and “That’s Not Right”. And the post-LSD-period “Everybody Else Is Wrong” with backward masking and all… [Here’s the whole album.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qwex3FO_JXA) ---
