Think back — while not a recording, National Lampoon parodied the Beatles with **Sgt. Shriver’s Bleeding Hearts Club Band**. All the lyrics are on the “back” of the “album,” just like **Sgt. Pepper’s** ,” so get off your butt and do your own parody album… in your mind! ---

Does Tom Lehrer count? I thought most of his music was original (except _The Elements_) and so wouldn’t qualify by the definition of parody. ---

Julie Brown also did [a 90-minute TV special as “Medusa,”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medusa:_Dare_to_Be_Truthful) satirizing mid-1980s Madonna, parodying her songs, her off-again, on-again relationship with Sean Penn, etc. It was pretty good. ---
