-From the early episode “Bart Gets an F”: 1) when Bart improvises a book report about “Treasure Island” and the teacher asks him: “Bart - did you READ the book?” and he retorts: "Mrs. Krabappel, I am INSULTED! Is this a book report or a witch hunt? 2) At the end of the episode, when Bart breaks down due to narrowly failing his final history test, and compares how he feels to an obscure history event, causing Mrs. Krabappel to add an extra mark to his test, narrowly permitting Bart to pass grade 4. -In “Lisa’s Substitute”, when Mr. Bergstrom enters the classroom in his cowboy getup and says that whoever finds 3 things wrong with it will get his hat. Lisa guesses correctly (though she mentions one point Mr. Bergstrom didn’t have in mind), and he gives her his cowboy hat. -In “Bart on the Road” when Bart first manages to issue himself a driver’s license when at the DMV with Patty and Selma, then drives himself, Milhouse, Martin and Nelson to the site of Knoxville World’s Fair, and finds that the “Sunsphere” has been converted into a wig shop so they all end up with wigs on their heads. ---
