“Renegades of Funk” was the first cover that I would’ve nominated. (Except that I would’ve been beaten to it, but you get the idea.) **[The Rat](https://youtu.be/asI2DsUPWJ4)** – The Walkmen (2004) **[Realiti](https://youtu.be/N9XKLqGqwLA)** – Grimes (2015) **[Red Eyes](https://youtu.be/1LmX5c7HoUw)** – The War on Drugs (2013) **[Retrograde](https://youtu.be/6p6PcFFUm5I)** – James Blake (2013) **[Run Away With Me](https://youtu.be/TeccAtqd5K8)** – Carly Rae Jepsen (2015) I know I can’t suggest other songs for people to nominate, but I’ll be shouting at my screen/phone for you guys to choose the songs I sadly had to leave off. (As I write this post, @MrDibble has already complied in part, so yay!) ---

Man, I’m looking ahead to my S list, and there are a shit-ton of great S songs from the past 24 years. I’m just talking Top 40 and Top 40 artists, not even looking at deeper cuts and more obscure artists yet. Maybe we could preemptively allow a few more entries than the usual five? ---
