What are your favorite songs that begin with the letter W and were released on or after January 1, 2000? See rules in OP [FINAL POLL ADDED]

I’m getting on a transcontinental flight in a few minute, but I swear I’ve got more if the second round opens. Don’t close it without me.

Gimme 3 more Ws.

There is room for thirtysomething more.

(keepinng 3 spots in reserve for @peccavi)

mmm

When It’s Over - Sugar Ray (2001)

I won’t be voting for this song (just so many good-to-great W’s!) – but I want you to know your posting of it wasn’t in vain, because I’d never heard of Vulfpeck, and I’m really grooving on their oeuvre now, thanks to you (fave so far: “Back Pocket”). Also, it’s awesome how they exploited a Spotify loophole, put out a silent album, and financed a free-admission tour.

(Live music is where it’s at. The one time I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert, Flea was genuinely grateful for the crowd’s support of live music, “big” or “small.”)

Want You Gone (from Portal 2)- Jonathan Coulton (2011)

What Makes The Breakfast - Mike Phirman (2018)

Wondering Why - The Red Clay Strays (2023)

I got a lot of Ws left if no one else is chiming in. Have two more just in case.

White Winter Hymnal - Fleet Foxes (2008)

Waiting For Death - Candle Kid (2014)

By my count, 2 slots left.

Well, Hell – Lauren Ruth Ward (2017)

Why So Serious – Alice Merton (2018)

Changed my mind! remove

Replace with this one (soaring, gospel tinged vocal)
When It’s My Time – Imelda May (2017)

Love it!
