Some of us here are proud of both the [Las Vegas Wranglers](http://lasvegaswranglers.com/) (ECHL) and the [Las Vegas 51s](http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/index.jsp?sid=t400) (AAA afiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays). We used to have an Arena Football team (the Gladiators), but they went under a couple of years ago. ---

We used to have a hockey team called the **Lubbock Cotton Kings**. I loved the [original logo](http://www.decal-orations.com/images/graphics/l/lu/lubbock_cotton_kings.png). We also used to have a minor league baseball team called the **Lubbock Crickets**. Reference to Buddy Holly, being his hometown and all. ---

OK, so originally I’m from Rochester, so all of Little Nemo’s teams are applicable to me, but after law school I moved to Richmond and want to stand up for the Flying Squirrels, and especially Nutzy, I even got his autograph(!), although, yes the Diamond is a dump. Secondly, as I went to a lot of Blue Rocks games while living in Philly, They use Mr. Celery as a mascot because, at the end of one season they had a “Healthy Foods Night” or some such where they had four vegetables race around the infield. In the ensuing ofseason all of the costumes were damaged by flooding except the Mr. Celery outfit. So, now Mr. Celery comes out whenever the Blue Rocks hit a homerun and he dances around to Song 2 by Blur. He thus convinced both me and my fiance to purchase and actively wear Mr. Celery t-shirts. ---
