An outtake from Adrian Belew’s Desire Caught by the Tail: Joan Miro’s Procession Through The Insides Of A Purple Antelope Across A Sea Of Tuna Fish The record was inspired by abstract artists, and the song titles were all, I think, named for works of art. ---

Other than “Careful with that ax” from Pink Floyd, I don’t think I’ve heard of any of these. Of songs that received popular acclaim and/or strong Top 40 airplay, _Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money in My Hand_ by Primitive Radio Gods has to be a strong contender. ---

The Manic Street Preachers released a song called “ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayit’sworldwouldfallapart”. Off the astonishing album The Holy Bible which I advise anyone who likes poetic lyrics to check out - though it’s rather dark. The writer killed himself shortly afterwards. ---
