There’ve been multiple times when I was going to start a new thread but then the auto-search function brought up a near-identical thread that I could just bump. So being able to bump old threads saves us many unnecessary redundant threads. ---

Side track – I have once – once – had the autosearch do that. Generally it brings up a batch of threads that have nothing to do with the subject of the one I intended to start. ---

Recently I had a weird coincience thing (at least it was to me). I remember there was a thread where people posted coincidences. If I wanted to share my coincidence with the class, I could find the old thread and bump it, start a new one, or just keep it to myself (which is what I did (you’re welcome)). But, I think a thread like that could be bumped and people wouldn’t complain too much. ---

I find this sometimes. I’ll start to read newer posts & then I’ll see the original is from 2023. I’m in if there’s new information or interest, but as has been said, how are they being found and resurrected? ---

We used to have a rule prohibiting thread bumping. We have since relaxed that rule, but we do ask that you have at least some sort of reason for bumping the thread.
