I love “ask the…” threads. Even if I don’t ask anything, I love reading them. I also know there are lots of people who would post one but think nobody would really be interested. So, whom would you like to ask? I’ll start. I’d like to see- ask the police officer ask the schizophrenic ask the teacher/professor ---

Ask the veterinarian. Ask the raw-food diet… type… person. Ask the English teacher in a foreign country. Ask the mail-order bride. Ask the guy who lives in the Maldives. Ask the guy who lives in a nation unrecognised by the world at large (any Transnistrians in the house?) Ask the happy high-class call girl. Ask the celebrity personal assistant (more about day-to-day stuff, less about celebrity gossip). Ask the flight attendant. Ask the Broadway dancer. Ask the guy who lives on a sailboat (although, his internet bills are probably nuts). _Disclaimer: To avoid sounding sexist, any instance of “guy” in this post can be substituted with an equivalent female pronoun. And vice-versa._ ---

I’m sorry that I can’t remember the guy’s name (he was Canadian, IIRC, and I think the username ws an Irish surname, but it’s been too long). Anyway, as far as I know, search doesn’t like any less than four characters in a word, and the thread was titled “ASK THE COP”, so we might be SOL. ---

Ask the gay man. Another vote for English teacher in a foreign country. I, personally, would love to see a “Ask the Indian living in India” since I have soooooooo many questions about India. I’d love to see xash start it. I dunno how much popularity it would have, though. I think Idle Thoughts made a compendium of all the “Ask the” threads sometime ago. I may try to hunt it down. ---
