I suspect everyone is going to look at me like I’m crazy for this one, but considering some of the other books already posted… ::shrug::
The Golden Fool by Robin Hobb. When [spoiler]FitzChivalry goes to the Fool (For want of a better name) and the two of them reconcile.
It’s not just that scene. I just find the two of them to be amazingly tragic characters, and when the two of them aren’t speaking to eachother it’s just the last straw - Life has dumped an unbelievable amount of suffering upon the two of them, but they’re usually able to help eachother. When that is taken away from them as well it’s simply too much.[/spoiler]
