# What brake controller to buy for 2020 Pilot

We have a 2020 Pilot and are planning on towing some RVs. Rental at first, but possibly buying our own.

We apparently need to put a brake controller in. Looking at [etrailer.com](http://etrailer.com), there are a lot of them that are compatible with our car at a variety of prices between $80 and $400+. It’s not clear to me why I should buy one over the other.

What should I look for?

Max tow capacity is 5000 lbs
