Have you considered good quality cigars or a pipe- with the smoother varities of tobacco? Safer (NOT\* safe\*- safe **r** ), and easier on the throat. ---

I smoke Merit Ultra Lights. Take some getting used to, but definitely easy on the throat. My boyfriend swears they stink worse than Marlboros or other strong brands, but what th’ hell does he know; he’s a nonsmoker. ---

Give it another try sometime. I have, recently given Republic’s DRUM another try. It’s better than it first was, but still pretty bleah. Have you tried Bali Shag? Much closer to what DRUM used to be, when made by Douwe Egberts, I feel. I’ll buy Jester or Sampson before smoking DRUM on purpose, again. ---
