I guess what I’m saying is that I wouldn’t let them in to a photographer’s pit or anywhere else sensitive unless there was a reason. If they were there taking pictures, then absolutely, but if not, then they would stay where the fans go, perhaps not even associate with me when I’m “working.”
Hopefully they could provide some useful function; helping keep track of the song order, giving a point of view on security dragging some drunk guy out that I missed, finding out for me that the bar further from the stage sells much bigger beers for only $2 more, etc.
I’ll make a point of not asking for a +1 unless it’s for a professional person. But if it’s sitting there, I’ll take someone who will be willing to perform some kind of function, even if it’s just toting gear
