I was given a bag of cinnamon chips (think chocolate chips, but cinnamon instead). What can I make with them?

I absolutely love cinnamon. I think any chocolate chip recipe in the world will be increased a millionfold by using cinnamon chips. I have to find me some.

I’d recommend cinnamon chip cookies, cinnamon chips in coffee, cinnamon chips on ice cream, cinnamon chips in Rice Krispie bars, cinnamon chips in tea, etc.

They are great on pancakes. Sprinkle some on the batter right before you flip and sprinkle some more on the top when they are done.

I saw a recipe recently for cinammon rolls that called for cinammon chips. I haven’t tried it yet, but it looked good and easy. Basically prepare the dough for for the rolls like you normally would and use the chips instead of your cin/sugar mixture. Sounds yummy!

I think cinammon chips would also be good in oatmeal cookies.

I’ve had cinnamon chip muffins that were very good.

Cinnamon and chocolate go very well together. Maybe some cinnamon and chocolate chip cookies?

They are really yummy in oatmeal cookies also. mmmmm!!!

I wonder how it would taste if you mixed some in cranberry/apple pie filling? That might be quite tasty. I may have to try that out.

Starbucks around here makes cinnamon chip scones on occasion. I think they would be even better with nuts and/or chocolate chips added, and of course homemade are always better.

You could stir them into Cream of Wheat. It’s way yummy.

I made this recipe from _Bon Appetit_ magazine several times. It is really delicious and easy to make.

Another thing you could do is go to [AllRecipes.com](http://AllRecipes.com) and in the search type in

“cinnamon chips”.

They make excellent scones. Also, excellent biscuits. That’s all I’ve tried them in – but I must say that oatmeal cookies with cinnamon chips sounds like a terrific idea.

You can go to [Hershey’s Kitchen](http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/index.asp) and do a search with cinnamon chips from their product list.

A recipe that has been reviewed well on the Cooking Light bulletin board is [Easy Cinnamon Bread](http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59398) . I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s on my (incredibly long) list of things to try.

And finally, you can find a few recipes [posted here](http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=65975&highlight=snickerdoodle+muffins) . I’ve made the snickerdoodle muffins a couple times.

I just finished eating a snickerdoodle with chocolate chips in it. I would suggest making snickerdoodles with cinnamon chips.

Seems to me anything good with cinnamon chips would be that much better with chocolate chips . . . just sayin’. 🙂

Years ago when I worked at Hardee’s, we made the cinnamon-raisin biscuits with cinnamon chips. It was basically a buttermilk biscuit with the chips and raisins mixed in, then topped with a sugar glaze after baking. Very good.
