# What cartoon character had this speech impediment?

Help me out Gen X’ers. I was remembering Yosemite Sam as always whistling his "S"s but [I can’t find a single example](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXvQMfKjuC8)\* of it. What cartoon character had this speech impediment?
It’s not a lisp,[like Sylvester,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkhPuH8G5Hg) it’s a whistle, like the trope of an old man with ill-fitting dentures. And I think he was in Bugs Bunny cartoons, but I could be mistaken on that one. Also NOT [Foghorn Leghorn](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSPaLiTBL3E).
It’s not [Gopher from Winnie the Pooh](https://youtu.be/E7UqHM5bjcY?t=93), although that is very close to the sound I’m thinking of. This was a purer whistle tone, not as breathy. I only remember hearing it at the beginning of words starting with “S”. I’m fairly certain the character was a grumpy old man.

In Minneapolis, it and the other King Features cartoons were always on _ **Lunch with Casey** _ (Jones) or in the late afternoon (_ **Popeye and Pete** _ and _ **Grandma Lumpit’s Boarding House** _). I can still sing all the theme songs:
