I’ve yet to visit a major city that DIDN’T have a huge number of beautiful women. Austin is as good as any (boosted by the presence of a huge university). ---

All those “hot Russian brides” you read about? They come from Tallinn, Estonia and Vladivostok, Russia in my experience. You get off a ship and your head is on a swivel the woman are so beautiful. And holy crap do they love Americans because the men in their own country are complete pigs and are all alcoholics. ---

London. Every time I’m there I am just stunned. I think it’s partly the fact that no one goes out in London looking like a slob. They dress up. As an American I’m used to seeing women out in public in baggy sweats and sloppy t-shirts. ---

A tiny survey of my own: We used to hang out at a place in Alexandria Bay, Thousand Islands, NY which is right over the bridge from Canada. A lot of the young men in this place were from NY State, on vacation, and some of the best looking, most fashionable, nicely dressed young men were (every one of them) from across the bridge, from Canada. You had a lot of fat Italians in baggy jeans, sneakers, and t-shirts from Syracuse, and you had a cluster of attractive young men with modern haircuts, clean fitted shirts, tight jeans, and nice boots from Kingston, Ontario. ---

And not just the hipsters - all the guys seemed to have expensive coiffures, with each hair carefully sculpted and held in place by what I could only assume was some form of epoxy. It was weird. I’d also like to nominate my own city of Tel Aviv here - I think both the women and the men look pretty damn good, and I’ve heard the same from non-Israelis. It’s a combination of a good genetic mix, sun, good food, and lost of self-confidence. And while you won’t see that much haut couture, Tel Avivians seem to have mastered the art of dressing down without looking like slobs. Sure, everyone’s in jeans and tank tops, but they make it work. ---

Tel Aviv has it for variety. Ethiopians are the most beautiful people on Earth, and they have those too. I married a Dane, but I personally find Northern Europeans very bland. Luckily my daughter got my muttness. 😉 ---

Surprisingly, Calgary has a high percentage of good looking people. You wouldn’t think of it, but maybe since they have walkways between each building downtown, they can’t hide behind bulky clothes all the time. ---

Kingston is both an Army and a university town; at any given time a quarter of the population are students or soldiers, or both, so a disproportionate number of its residents are young, upwardly mobile, healthy, and more ethnically diverse than born-and-bred Kingstonians (“townies,” as the students call them.) That demographic is inherently attractive. You’d find the same thing in any similar university town, like Kitchener/Waterloo or Guelph. Heck, walk around any city and when you’re near a university, people are visibly way more attractive than when you’re not near one.
