# What Color Are Your Fingernails?

As I was painting my nails earlier this evening, I was struck by a thought…
“Gee, I wonder what color the Dopers fingernails are?”
(okay, so I don’t have much of a life.)
So tell me, what color are your fingernails? Mine are “Sunshine,” by Avon Nailwear. “Sunshine” is more or less what it says it is. A bright, happy yellow. I think it looks neat.
My toenails are “Poseidon,” also by Avon Nailwear. “Poseidon” is kind of a seafoam green–an excellent toenail color, if I do say so myself. I’ve also got a really cool toe ring, with a little pentacle on it. I love toe rings.

Nails clear and bitten. Looking down at my toes (also clear, not bitten) I see a stringy piece of toe jam coming out of my left big toe nail.

dropzone: I’m a _chick._ Fingernail polish is _interesting,_ okay? And what does emergency management have to do with anything?
To all the guys with flesh-colored nails: Let your SO paint them. Just once. I highly recommend doing this the way Kevin Costner did with Susan Sarandon in _Bull Durham._ My husband won’t let me paint his, though, so I am in the market for a volunteer…😉

The color is called Tempest, and it’s a dark purple, that can look a bit blueish in certain lights and/or with certain blue clothes I wear. It’s the one color I have been getting a lot of compliments on lately, so I wear it most of the time now. And, my left pinky is a different color, it’s a gold metallic color. It’s just me, what can I say?
Toes are also painted this purple at the moment, to match. Though I often paint them another color, just to be different.
And, drop, I am also clueless as to what you mean by your comment. Please elaborate.

My fingernails are painted “Cantaloupe” right now. Not surprisingly, it’s pale orange. I can’t paint my toenails, though; I have those squished-up little baby toesnails, and there’s insufficient surface area ☹
I should go do my nails.

Usually, they’re red, but today they’re sheer ivory with henna decals. My toenails are red though, and my big toes have gold decals on them. I get bored during commercials, so I usually do them when I’m watching the Indians on TV.

Well, all except one nail are uncoloured. My left thumbnail is a cotton candy pink right now. I’m thinking I might paint them green or possibly pastel purple.

they were a really light purple, almost periwinkle, for a couple of days. i scratched off the remnants today. i would like to go with a plum or electric blue, but own no nail polish.
p.s.- ladies, how do you get the nail polish so even? I can never do it right! it turns out gloppy and uneven. so i have to distress the polish. but random chippping looks nice too.

Jb, you gotta use light coats and not use a big glop to cover the nail. It’s all about letting it dry sufficiently also.

Hm, I only do my toenails since I can screw up on them w/out it really showing. My left foot is currently hot pink, my right foot bright orange. Pretty exciting.
