Umbrella? Last time I opened mine moths flew out of it. A species of moth thought to have been extict mind you. We had a little rain a few weeks ago but it had been over 90 days since we had gotten a drop. FWIW mine is black, bought at a drugstore in San Francisco where I really needed it. * * * Come, let us go, I’ve a cask of amontillado. ---

Umbrella? Why use an umbrella? In Wa, you get used to the rain after a while and don’t need one. Of course it rarely rains hard, it is more like a constant pissing rain than a downpour. * * * The greater your dreams, the more terrible your nightmares. ---

I have three, a small “totes” style black one, ditto in plaid, and a huge stick umbrella from Holiday Park. Somehow these are always in the car when I need them (and my husband has always got the car, the selfish bastard). In a real pinch, I’ve used the kids umbrellas, but I look really funny trying to keep dry with a minature Elmo umbrella. On a side note, those clear plastic rain hoods that middle age women use have got to go! Although I’ll admit to a curious liking for those clear plastic raincoats you can buy at Walgreens. ---

Black. It is about 6 inches long when folded up. This is supposed to be good. You know, that cool compact design and all. The problem is, it works like crap and rarely opens right, pluss the coverage is quite meager.
