My umbrella is puprle. It is also broken. I need to get a new one but it hardly ever rains here. ---

My umbrella is black. But it’s been gathering dust in the trunk of my car, along with my ice scraper, and lock de-icer for about two years now. A note about Phoenix when it actually does rain: During the rain, people in a building cower in fear. They all crowd around the doorway, and peer outside, as if the rain will melt them if they walk in it. I’ve seen a herd of shoppers wait for 10, 20 minutes, because they are so freaked out by precipitation. I have 2. Umbrella 1: Got free from work. Dark blue compact umbrella with the company name in white. I never use it–it’s too small. Umbrella 2: Got from my dad. Dark blue and red golf (big) umbrella. I never carry an umbrella, they’re too much of a pain. Hats and hoods do it for me. ---

I’ve noticed that the Arizona reaction to rain is about the same as the Georgia reaction to snow - everyone gathers around the window and peers out in wonder. Kind of annoying if you have a window seat at the office; other than that a window seat isn’t so bad. I notice all the Arizonans chimed in about their unused, dry-rotted umbrellas! ---
